Swedish Massage, created by Per Henrik Ling is the foundations for most Western Massage Modalities which are practiced today. There are 7 massage strokes involved in Swedish Massage, and a combination of the strokes below will be used in a personalized routine to provide the client with the most effective massage session to meet their needs. Effleurage also known as "gliding strokes", these are used for warming the tissue and spreading the massage lubrication used. Using our education in Sports Massage and Injury assessment, we have the ability to asses and identify injuries to the muscle, ligaments, tendons and fascia which can benefit from Massage Treatment. We use Swedish Massage and other modalities to target areas of Injury and treat to reduce swelling, relieve pain and breakdown and prevent the build up of Scar Tissue.
